New Delhi: One of the world's richest men, Bill Gates has predicted that there will be no poor countries in this world by 2035 as these nations will benefit from innovations of their richer counterparts.
Gates's prediction comes in response to criticize the belief that extreme poverty and disease are unsolvable, calling it a ‘harmful' opinion.
In the recently released annual letter of their foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill gates attempt to debunk three pervasive myths in development economics:
--“Poor countries are doomed to stay poor.”
--“Foreign aid is a big waste.”
--“Saving lives leads to overpopulation.”
