Yangon, Oct 25 (AFP) At least 27 people were killed and 15 are missing after a powerful cyclone struck western Myanmar, state media reported late today.
Cyclone Giri destroyed 2,800 homes, dozens of government buildings and two bridges, state radio said. Thestorm slammed into the coast of Rakhine state on Friday withwinds of up to 193 kilometres per hour. (AFP)
