Cairo: President of the Arab parliament, Ahmed al-Jarwan, urged the US and the UN Security Council's five permanent states to exert pressure on Israel to continue truce and not to resume shelling the Gaza Strip, media reported.
Al-Jarwan on Thursday called on the UN, its bodies concerned, and the International Criminal Court to consider the massacres perpetrated by the Israeli forces against Palestinian citizens in Gaza, especially raids on the (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) UNRWA-run schools.
It urged the international community to bear their responsibilities and start a reconstruction process in the besieged enclave.
