Islamabad: An additional sessions judge was among the 11 persons killed in a deadly attack on a local court (Kachehri) located in F-8 area of Islamabad early this morning.
Police said, two suicide bombers barged into the courtroom of additional sessions judge Rafaqat Awan and started firing indiscriminately.
They also hurled a hand grenade.
The suicide attackers blew themselves up before police tried to overpower them, eyewitnesses said.
Nearly 50 people are reported injured in the attack. They have been admitted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
A hospital spokesperson said, so far eleven bodies have been received.
A massive search operation has begin after security forces threw a cordon around the court premises.
