Osama Bin Laden was once the world's most feared terrorist. But now it's his follower Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi who is claiming this title.
Baghdadi is a man of few words and many names. The UN listed him as a designated terrorist in 2011. As per its record his real name is Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai. Claiming descent from the Islamic prophet Muhammad, he is called Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Al-Husseini Al-Qurashi.
He is known as Amir al-Mu'minin, Caliph Ibrahim is emir, proclaimed as caliph, of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) by his supporters. Baghdadi was formerly known as Abu Du‘a.
