7 Hindus Shot Dead In Pakistan

Islamabad: Seven members of a Hindu family were killed in Pakistan's Jaffarabad dstrict on Tuesday by unknown extremists, the police said.  


“The deceased include children and a woman. Three persons have been injured the attack,” a police official said.  

A police official said the unidentified gunmen forcibly entered the house of Shankar Lal and opened fire at the family in Suhbatpur area which resulted in the death of seven people.

The police said that the deceased included a woman Malka and five children while the injured were identified as Ashiq, Akash and a woman Miraa. The police said that eight assailants equipped with latest weapons committed the crime.

On Monday, two Christian brothers accused of writing a blasphemous pamphlet critical of Prophet Mohammed were shot dead outside a court in eastern Pakistan.  

Sub-inspector, Mr Mohammed Javed, was bringing Sajid Masih and his brother Rashid Masih back to the police station after producing them before a magistrate in a blasphemy case when the assailants opened fire at them.  

As a result, Sajid and Rashid were killed on the spot. while sub-inspector Javed was injured seriously. After the incident, Christians took out a rally and blocked Aminpur Bungalow and Eidgah Roads for an hour. They also burnt tyres.
