Abuja, March 20: At least 22 people were killed and 65 injured in a suicide attack in northwest Nigeria Monday evening, police confirmed Tuesday.
The attack occurred in a motor park area of the Kano state, Xinhua reported.
According to a top police official, two suicide bombers involved in the attack were among the dead and five commercial luxury buses plying on inter-state routes were affected.
"The two suicide bombers drove a blue colour Volkswagen Golf car and hit a fully-loaded luxury bus heading to Lagos. All the injured persons were taken to various hospitals within the metropolis for treatment," State police commissioner Musa Daura said.
No group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
