US visa ban on Pakistan most likely: Report

Sources close to the Trump administration have indicated that it is a matter of time before Pakistan is included in the list of nations whose passport holders are barred from entering the United States, according to a report by news agency ANI.

Quoting its sources, the report says that the President is "keenly aware" about who gave Osama Bin Laden shelter and from where most of the world's terrorism has emanated.

The report further added that signals have already gone out to the Pakistani authorities on the impending decision which led to the current house arrest of LeT chief Hafiz Saeed.

Trump administration is reportedly not very convinced by this step of Pakistan government and most of the US officials believe that it is just like "pulling wool over the eyes" and not a serious move which has convinced no one at the White House".

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus had also said earlier this week that US may extend visa ban to countries like Pakistan.

“You can point to other countries that have similar problems like Pakistan and others – perhaps we need to take it further,” Priebus said.
