The Pakistani passport has been ranked the second worst in the world, according to this year’s “Passport Index” released on January 12.
“Passport Index” is a global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom that their citizens enjoy.
With a visa-free score of 26, Pakistan ranks 198 of a total 199 countries on the list.
The only country to rank below Pakistan is its neighbour Afghanistan which has a visa-free score of just 23.
India, on the other, ranks 78 with a visa-free score of 46.
Germany stands at the top with a visa-free score of 157 while Sweden and Singapore secured the second spot with 156 points.
Singapore overtook South Korea and became the highest ranked Asian passport with a visa-free score of 156.
France, Spain, United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and the United States ranked third on the index.
