Doha: On second day of his visit to Qatar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met business leaders of the Gulf state and invited them to do business in India.
Addressing business leaders of oil-rich country, PM said, “India is a land of opportunity. I have come to personally invite you to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Promising to improve the ease of business in India, PM told the business leaders that he will address the bottlenecks identified by them.
“India's 800 million youth are its biggest strength. Infrastructure expansion & upgradation & manufacturing are my other priorities,” PM said.
Modi identified agro processing, railways & solar energy as promising areas for Qatari investments.
After meeting top businessmen of the country, PM held a delegation level talks with Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
Prime Minister was accorded a ceremonial wlecome at Amiri Diwan in Doha, the palace of Emir of Qatar.
Qatar is PM Modi's second stop on his five-nation tour, Switzerland, the US and Mexico being next.
