New Delhi: Labelled as India’s most wanted, the alleged mastermind of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts Dawood Ibrahim is reportedly having life-threatening gangrene and is unlikely to be cured completely, according to a media report.
The underworld don is currently being treated at Liaquat National Hospital and Combined Military Hospital in Karachi.
Dawood also receives treatment at his Clifton neighbourhood residence.
Doctors who have been treating the dreaded terrorist say that his disease has reached an advanced staged and its healing is now doubtful.
The gangrene, according to doctors, was caused due to high blood pressure and they may soon have to amputate his legs. They also say that large amount of body tissue in his legs are already dead.
As per reports, he will not be moved out of Karachi and the army doctors will lead his treatment.
Dawood Ibrahim is prime accused of the 1993 Mumbai blasts that left 257 dead and more than 700 injured.
Since then he has been in India’s most wanted list.
Besides Dawood, Tiger Menon and Yakub Menon were also said to be involved in the conspiracy.
