A Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane crashed on the runway at Yangon International Airport on Tuesday evening, The Myanmar Times reported.
According to the report, the S2-AGQ - Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 was seen in pictures lying on the grass near the runway. Dhaka-headquartered Biman Bangladesh Airlines, known as Biman, is the national flag carrier of Bangladesh.
Social media posts suggested that the Biman aircraft slid off the runway, however it remained unclear whether the incident happened during takeoff or landing.
No information on possible casualties has been reported so far. The airport is currently closed.
