At least 11 terrorists of the dreaded terror organisation Taliban were killed in two air strikes in Afghanistan, sources said today.
"On Saturday, Afghan army and air force conducted an air strike against the militant's position in Pasaband district in Ghor province, killing five insurgents and destroying five motorcycles along with several rounds of weapons," Defence Ministry was quoted as saying by a news agency.
In a similar operation, six Taliban fighters were killed in Alingar district of Laghman province, the ministry said.
The Afghan forces have beefed up security operations against the group since April following its annual spring offensive across the country.
