The world's tallest Buddha statue is coming up at the Thai temple in Sarnath.
The Mrigdaya Van Mahavihara Society of Thailand is setting up the 90 feet tall statue at the temple. This is being erected in momeory of the historic Bamiyan Buddha statute demolished by the Taliban in Afghanistan eight years ago.
Dharmarashmi, secretary of the society said nearly 80 per cent of the work is over and the statue will be uneviled soon.
The statue has been made in Gandhara style with Chunar balua stone.
