New Delhi, Jan 11: Work on making the outer Ring road between Vikaspuri and Wazirabad signal-free will begin next month, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said today.
“The construction of flyovers, road under bridges (RUB) and partly elevated road section between Vikaspuri and Wazirabad at a cost of about Rs 2400 crore would being next month,” Dikshit while inaugurating a railway underpass at Gulabi Bagh in Pratap Nagar.
She said the redevelopment work of 20-km stretch of the outer ring road would facilitate uninterrupted travel and bring relief to residents of Vikaspuri, Janakpuri, Jawala Heri, Paschim Vihar, Bhehra Enclave, Mangolpuri Pitampura, Rohini, Sarasvati Vihar, Prashant Vihar, Badli, Burari, Nirankari Colony, Bhalaswa Haiderpur, Shalimar Bagh and Mukundpur.
