A woman from Haridwar was found badly bruised inside a Delhi Metro coach on Monday night at City Centre, Noida station by two brothers Sachin and Inderjit, residents of Sector 22.
The woman was in such a state of shock that she was unwilling to disclose who molested her. On seeing policemen in uniform, who wanted to take down her version, the woman used to cringe out of fear. The woman was admitted to Noida district hospital.
SP City Noida and Sec 39 Police Station Incharge went to meet the woman, but she refused to disclose anything on seeing them in uniform.
Inderjit told police that the woman revealed her name as Preeti, wife of Rakesh Kumar of Haridwar. She had also disclosed to Inderjit that she had come to visit her sister-in-law in Sector 16 Noida, when some miscreants robbed her purse. The lady disclosed that she went to a nearby police gypsy, where some policemen beat her up and molested her.
Noida police contacted their Haridwar counterparts who informed that the address given by the woman was incorrect. Women policemen in nurse uniform were also sent to talk to the woman, but she refused to divulge anything.
SP city Noida H N Singh said, the woman was seen on Monday at around 3 pm by some policemen in Sector 3. She was seen near a police Gypsy in Sec 16 at around 6.30 pm. Policemen in the Gypsy got her admitted to the hospital at around 7.15 pm and the woman was then discharged. The SP said, police was investigating how the woman went inside the Metro.
The city magistrate has ordered the police to take the woman to her address in Haridwar.
