Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh): In a heart throbbing incident, a woman in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh is gang raped and then burnt alive publicly. Accused kidnapped the woman, gang-raped her and set on fire before fleeing from the scene.
When police officials reach the spot, they just find the dead body of the women as all the people of the village ran away out of fear.
Reportedly, a group of 8 people including 2 females are behind this heart breaking incident happened in Beejpariya village of Sitapur.
According to India TV reports, the accused Vikas wanted to marry the victim and was regularly following her from last many days.
Localities said that the incident could have been avoided if the police had taken timely action on the complaints filed by the victim's family.
This inhuman incident of kidnapping and gang rape in day light has spread the wave of shock and fear among the neighbors and people living around. Many of them have evacuated their places of fear after the incident, said the police.
