New Delhi, Nov 1 : BJP MP from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi today demanded that the government, particularly the Income Tax department, must disclose the identities of the three members of parliament who have money stashed in a foreign bank in Switzerland.

 
Varun Gandhi tweeted saying : "Who are the 3 MPs with illegal foreign assets? Not enough to tax them. Govt must announce punitive action and nationalization policy for illegal wealth abroad.
 
"If identities not immediately disclosed, I will file an RTI application. They must be made an example of ."
 
The Times of India has reported on Tuesday that the Income Tax department in its first crackdown on illegal money stashed abroad, has summoned three MPs from Haryana, UP and Kerala to appear for questioning at the Delhi office of the Income Tax department's recently formed Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
 
The report said one of these MPs has Rs 200 crore in overseas accounts. The MPs would be asked to explain the source of funds in the HSBC Geneva accounts.
 
The list of such tax ebvaders inclues a top Mumbai-based industrialist who during questioning admitted to having family accounts in HSBC Geneva with deposits totalling more than Rs 800 crore.
