New Delhi: Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Monday greeted the nation on the eve of auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, which will be celebrated on Tuesday in India.
While sending his best wishes to the citizens of the country, Hamid Ansari said that this festival celebrates the essential unity of mankind and highlights the human values of peaceful coexistence, love and compassion.
“I convey my warm greetings and best wishes to the citizens of our country on the joyous occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramzan. This festival celebrates the essential unity of mankind and highlights the human values of peaceful coexistence, love and compassion,” the Vice President said in his message to the countrymen.
“May this auspicious occasion bless us with peace, prosperity and harmony in our lives,” the Vice President added.
Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated to mark the end of Ramzan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The religious day is a single day during which Muslims are not permitted to fast. This is a day when Muslims around the world show a common goal of unity.
