New Delhi: Union Minister Harsh Vardhan today inaugurated a multi-speciality Ayurvedic centre in East Delhi and said there was a need to focus on traditional Ayurveda and yoga apart from the modern health facility.
The Rs 252-lakh Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Multi-speciality Ayurvedic Centre has been built in Geeta Colony, according to an EDMC statement.
“We cannot get all solutions from modern health facility. We need to focus on traditional Ayurveda and yoga as well,” Vardhan said.
He said Ayurvedic medicines have minimum side effects.
Vardhan, meanwhile, appealed to the councillors and officials to execute their development projects at a fast pace and be more transparent in their working.
The Ayurvedic centre has facilities like ultrasound, seminar hall, Ayurveda library, yoga and meditation hall, women ward and a recreation centre, area councillor Kalpana Devi Jain said.
