New Delhi: The hill state of Uttarakhand has been asked to “beware” of rainfall from July 23-27 as it continues to be lashed by monsoon showers which have triggered landslides and caused rivers to run in spate.
Although the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued no warning for tomorrow in the state, it has asked the people and administration to “beware” of rain on the char dham trail to Gangotri, Yamontri, Kedarnath and Badrinath and to Hemkunt Sahib, between July 23 to July 27.
“Cloudy sky. Moderate to rather heavy rain (30-60mm). Rain /thunderstorm would occur” on July 25, IMD said, adding that, on the rest of the days, showers of between 10-30mm and 15-35mm are expected in the state.
