New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today declared results of National Defence Academy, Naval Academy and written part of Combined Defence Services Examination.
As many as 570 candidates have been declared successful on the basis of the results of the written examination held by the UPSC on August 11, last year and the subsequent interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.
These candidates will be admitted to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy for the 132nd Course and Naval Academy for the 94th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from July 2014, a statement issued today by Ministry of Personnel said.
Candidates can visit visit the websites of Ministry of Defence—www.joinindianarmy.nic.in or www.indianarmy.gov.in-- for detailed information regarding the actual date of commencement of the courses, it said.
The results of medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing the lists of successful candidates.
The UPSC has also declared results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2014 held on February 9, this year.
As many as 9,122 candidates have qualified for the interviews conducted by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.
Those qualify in the interview will get admission and undergo training in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (Kerala); Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course and Officers' Training Academy, Chennai, it said.
