New Delhi: 589 candidates have been declared successful in the Engineering Services examination, 2014, result of which was announced today by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The Engineering Services written examination was held in June last year, and the interviews for personality test were held in January-February this year, the Commission said. Of the total successful candidates, 287 are in General category, 173 in Other Backward Class, 85 in Scheduled Caste and 44 in Scheduled Tribe, it said.
There were 667 vacancies reported by the government, the Commission said.
The UPSC has a ‘facilitation counter' near Examination Hall building in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information or clarification regarding their examination or recruitment on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM in person or over Telephone Nos 011-23385271 and 011-23381125, it said.
The result will also be available on the UPSC website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in. The mark sheet is expected to be available after around fifteen days from the date of publication of result for a period of 45 days, the Commission said.
