Chennai: Chennai yesterday experienced continuous moderate rain triggered by what MET officials described as an 'upper air cyclonic circulation.'

"An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over west central and adjoining north west bay of North coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coast. The showers led to waterlogging in several areas besides causing traffic snarls.

"The sky conditions would be overcast. Light to moderate rain would occur. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 26 and 24 degree Celsius respectively," the Regional Meterological Centre, Chennai said.
