Lucknow: Policemen in Uttar Pradesh will now have to under go online tests, an official said. The examination would be used to benchmark the promotional criterion.
"The tests will be held between May 22-July 27," Sandeep Salunke, IG (Technical Services) said.
"The tests would be taken by constables and inspectors in all the 75 districts of the state and are currently being given training for "familiriazation with the online environment" by Ernst and Young and NIIT," he added.
The online tests would be evaluated by Ginger Web as 12,000 policemen take this test at nine police training centers across the state.
DG (training) and ADG (Technical Services) R.K. Vishwakarma are the nodal officers for this test.
"A mock test, for the benefit of the examinees, will also be held, after which the examinee would have to solve 40 questions in the main exam and secure passing marks - 24 for being eligible for the promotions.
"The results would immediately flash as soon as the candidates finish the test and would be included in the departmental assessment, prior to the promotions," Salunke said.
