Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government is going to establish a medical science university in SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's native place Saifai in Etawah district.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohd Azam Khan today tabled a Bill for the same in the state Assembly. In the Bill named “Uttar Pradesh Medical Sciences University, Saifai, Etawah Bill-2015” it was stated that the proposed university will be known as UP Medical Sciences University.
The Bill said that after establishment of the university, the existing UP rural medical science and research institute and the dental, paramedical, nursing and pharmacy colleges under it, will come under the proposed new university.
As per the provisions, the Chief Minister would be Chancellor of this university.
