Uttar Pradesh: Days after the brutal Kanjhawala death case came to the fore, a similar incident has been reported in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district on Wednesday. According to reports, a woman was killed after her scooty hit by a truck.
She was also dragged for 3 kilometres under the vehicle. Later, the truck caught fire leading to the death of the woman. The deceased woman was said to be a government officer.
The deceased identified as a lady government officer
"A lady government officer died on the spot, in the Banda district, after her two-wheeler vehicle was hit by a truck and got stuck into it. The vehicle was dragged after being stuck in the truck due to which a fire broke out in the truck," ASP Banda said.
As per reports, fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire and the local police were trying to get the body of the victim out of the vehicle.
Kanjhawala death case
It should be mentioned here that 20-year-old Anjali Singh lost her life after her scooty was hit by a car in Delhi's Kanjhawala area in the wee hours of January 1. She was also dragged for 12 kilometres under the vehicle on the city's roads, the police said. They further said five men who were allegedly in the car have been booked for culpable homicide among other sections.
