New Delhi, Jun 27: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said basic amenities will be made available in all unauthorized colonies and government was trying hard to regularize them expeditiously.
“The process of regularization of such colonies is a complex one. The government has overcome all difficulties in this regard,” Dikshit said at a workshop organized to asses implementation of schemes under Bhagidari initiative.
She said government was taking steps to announce regularization of maximum number of unauthorized colonies at one go.
A 50 member delegation of Bangladesh's Department of Local Self Government also attended this workshop to understand the Bhagidari programme which seeks to build bridges between the citizens and the government.
The Delhi government had issued provisional regularization certificates (PRCs) to over 1,200 unauthorized colonies ahead of assembly polls in 2008 and is now in the process of regularizing them.
