New Delhi: This Valentine's day, taxi service provider Uber is all set to launch a chopper service in Delhi to give joy rides to love birds.

Priced at Rs 5,000 per couple, the deal includes a 20 minute chopper ride on the skies of the city and a pool side meal, the company said today.

Uber has tied up with EuroCopter for the chopper service and Asian Haus restaurant for the meal.  “So your Uber Delhi Team decided to make it easy for you to put together an epic date and help you kick it up a notch this Valentine's. We've teamed up with EuroCopter and Asian Haus to create a truly special experience that'll get you the title of best valentine, ever,” Uber said in an email to its customers.

The service will be available between 9-10.30 AM on February 14 and can be booked by using the Uber APP.  Uber will be providing a door to door service, where an Uber Black cab will be providing pickup from home and at the end will be dropping the couple at the location of pickup.  Uber said, the customer needs to have a balance of more than Rs 5,000 in the Paytm wallet linked with the account for booking the service.

It added, “Demand will be high for UberCHOPPER, and supply will be tight. If at first you don't see any available, keep trying!”.

The US-based taxi service had been in news recently after it was barred from operating in the national capital after a 26-year-old executive was allegedly raped by a driver of the taxi hired by her using the firm's app on December 6 following which it was banned on December 8, 2014.

Last month, Uber applied for a licence under the recently introduced Modified Radio Taxi Scheme (2006) to operate app-based taxi booking service through its subsidiary Resource Expert India Pvt Ltd. The award of the licence is pending with the Delhi government. India is Uber's largest market outside the US.
