Jaipur, Oct 5 : Two children, two-year-old Vanshika and a 45-day old infant, died in a fire that suddenly erupted when a domestic LPG cylinder caught fire inside a house in Prem Nagar, Jaipur on Tuesday night.
The father of the kids Nirdesh Kumar, who works as a technician in a petrol pump, his wife Kiran and six-year-old son Vivek suffered burns. They have been admitted to Sawai Man Singh Hospital here.
It was Vivek who first ran out of the room and shouted for help. By the time neighbours rushed to the scene, the fire had engulfed the rest of the four members of the family.
Residents complained that the Fire Brigade and police took a long time in reaching the spot.
