Ranchi: In a major development in one of the most ‘politically unrest' state, Jharkhand, where assembly elections are due this year, two Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) MLAs along with one Janata Dal (United) leader Lalchand Mahto joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Ranchi on Saturday.
The two JVM MLAs are Nirbhay Shahabadi and Fulchand Mandal of Giridih and Sindri respectively.
One JD(U) leader Lalchand Mahto along with his supporters joined the saffron party in Ranchi.
In a related development senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader and an MLA of the ruling coalition, Siman Marandi announced in the Vidhan Sabha premises on Saturday that he will join the BJP soon.
Noticeably, in last 14 years, the tribal state has seen nine Chief Ministers.
