Jabalpur (MP), May 11: Two first year engineering students of Takshila Engineering College were drowned in the Narmada river on Thursday, after they went for a swim to beat the heat wave.




Anurag Mishra and Vivek Patel didn't know how to swim, but they decided to give it a try.

Soon the two were caught in a whirlpool and began sinking. The mishap took place at Gwarighat.

Local divers were brought in to fish out the dead bodies. They were identified with the help of their identity cards kept inside the bags.
