Hyderabad, Oct 23 :The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Monday lodged a complaint with police against makers of the Telugu movie 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu' over its allegedly anti-Telangana scenes.
TRS spokesperson D Sravan filed the complaint at the Banjara Hills police station against director Puri Jagannath of the film, which stars actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi's son Pavan Kalyan in the lead role.
Offices of the director and the producer of the film were allegedly attacked by some TRS workers.
In the wake of a controversy arising over the film with TRS leaders and other Telangana supporters taking objections to certain scenes in the film, the Andhra Pradesh government had appointed a committee which suggested deletion of some scenes from the film.
Meanwhile, film makers said they would screen the film without these scenes, as suggested by the government panel and also appealed to the people to watch the film.
Meanwhile, Banjara Hills Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Shanker Reddy said the complaint has been forwarded for legal opinion.
Asked if any case has been registered, the ACP said further action will be initiated after getting the legal opinion.
