New Delhi:  Thousands of workers from across the country, including those belonging to the private, unorganised as well as public sectors, marched to Parliament yesterday to push for their long-pending demands related to  remuneration, and protest against inflation, rampant violation of their rights in implementation of labour laws, the plight of unorganised workers and unabated ‘contractualisation' of employees

The rally of workers started from Ram Lila Maidan with workers carrying red flags and placards.

CPI labour wing AITUC  national secretary said : “It has been four years since the trade unions have come together and if the government is not going to listen to us in the coming days, we will intensify our agitation”.
