Both India and Germany deserve permanent seats in UNSC: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today demanded permanent sets for both India and Germany at UN Security Council during his joint press meet with German chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.

Both the leaders have called for stronger economic cooperation between India and Germany.

In a major boost to campaign for net neutrality, e-commerce giant Flipkart today pulled out of Airtel Zero platform with which it had partnered.

 
Flipkart was facing flak for this Airtel deal under which customers were allowed to access certain apps and websites without paying data charges as long as the makers of those apps and services pay Airtel for this free access.

Intelligence agencies warn of 26/11 style attack in Mumbai

Intelligence agencies have warned Mumbai Police over a possible terror attack, similar to 26/11 Mumbai strike, taking place in the city in the next few months.

Earlier this month, the Mumbai railway police had revealed that the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba was planning to attack hotels and railway stations in the city in the forthcoming two to three months, in a 26/11 style strike.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tributes to Dr.B R Ambedkar on his 124th birth anniversary, and said, "Let us pledge to dedicate ourselves to creating India that Ambedkar dreamt of...an India that will make him proud".

"I bow to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his birth anniversary - Jai Bhim," the Prime Minister said in a message.
