International Yoga Day: Preparations in full swing to celebrate the ‘big' day

International Yoga Day is all set to be celebrated at Rajpath in Delhi tomorrow in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Around 37,000 people are expected to attend the majestic event.

The government is planning to apply to the Guinness World Records for claiming the record for "Largest Yoga Demonstration at a single venue.

Mumbai back to work as rain stops, train services restored

A day after heavy downpour and flooding, life in Mumbai was back on track this morning with train services being restored on all the three suburban lines though more rains have been forecast for Saturday.

Ignoring drizzling, men and women streamed to suburban stations around the sprawling Metro to head for their offices and other places of work, which remained shut on Friday.

Will not speak to media for 6 months: Manohar Parrikar

Defence minister Manohar Parrikar, who has faced criticism in the media for his comments on a wide range of issues, on Saturday said he would not speak to the media for six months.

Parrikar, who has been camped in Goa for the last three days, attended a government function in Mandur village, 15 km from Panaji, where he was asked to comment on a whole range of issues, including target killings in Kashmir's Sopore town and the Rafale deal.

St Stephen's harassment case: DCW chief Barkha Shukla calls for probe

Delhi Commission for Women chief Barkha Shukla Singh today dubbed the alleged sexual harassment case filed against a professor of St Stephen's College as "shameful" and called for a probe into the matter.

"It is such a prestigious college and it is shameful if anything like this has happened. The matter should be investigated and the guilty should face action," Singh said.

BCCI begins probe into Dhoni's alleged conflict of interest: Report

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has initiated a probe into Team India's MS Dhoni's alleged conflict of interest involving his firm Rhiti Sports Management Pvt Ltd, according to a report published in Hindustan Times.  

Rhiti Sports manages Doni's commercial interests as well as that of Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja.
