Microsoft chief Nadella to visit Hyderabad today
Hyderabad: Software giant Microsoft's chief executive officer (CEO), Satya Nadella, would be visiting Hyderabad today. As part of his four-day personal visit to the city where he grew up, Nadella will visit T-Hub, the technology incubation facility initiated by the Telangana government."Nadella has requested us to keep his visit to T-Hub a low-key affair. Accompanied by Telangana IT and panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao, Nadella will spend about one hour in the facility, interacting with the start-up entrepreneurs," government officials said.
Civic polls in Chhattisgarh today
Raipur: Polling for eleven urban bodies, including one municipal corporation, four municipal councils and six nagar panchayats in Chhattisgarh, will be held today in which a total of 6,20,110 voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.
Crucial meet on Bhogapuram Greenfield airport
Hyderabad: The State government is confident of securing all the clearances for the proposed Greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram even as the officials concerned are preparing a detailed PowerPoint presentation to showcase the project to the Central government for its approval.
The PowerPoint presentation will be made at a crucial meeting convened by the Central government on December 28 to give its nod for the proposed site in Vizianagaram district.
The Bhogapuram Aerotropolis project, comprising international airport, maintenance, repair and overhaul facility and an aviation academy, has already secured the defence clearance for the proposed airport.
Vikas Patil murder case: Hearing to start today
Thane (Maha): A local court will today start the hearing in the 2012 Vikas Patil murder case when all the 16 accused will be produced. Sixteen persons were apprehended on charges of killing 32-year-old Vikas Patil at Umbarde village in the district over a long standing dispute on land related matter.
