6. HC to hear plea against Maran bail
Chennai: Madras High Court will today hear CBI's plea against six-week conditional anticipatory bail granted to former Union telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran in the illegal telephone exchange case.
The judge had on June 30 granted interim anticipatory bail to Maran, but made it clear that the agency could seek cancellation of the relief in case of noncooperation by the DMK leader. Maran was questioned for the next three days in Delhi.
