2. The Spring Temple Buddha:The Spring Temple Buddha is located in the Zhaocun township of Lushan County, Henan, China is a statue depicting Vairocana Buddha built in 2002.
It is the the current tallest statue in the world at 128 metres (420 ft), which includes a 20 m (66 ft) lotus throne.
3. The Laykyun SetkyarThe Laykyun Setkyar standing Buddha in Burma is the second tallest statue in the world at 116 metres (381 ft).
Located in the village of Khatakan Taung, near Monywa, Myanmar this statue of Gautama Buddha stands on a 13.5 metres (44 ft) throne.
Construction began in 1996 by Chief Abbot Ven. Narada, who died on the 22nd of November, 2006 and was completed on 21 February 2008.
4. The Ushiku Daibutsu
The Ushiku Daibutsu located in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, is the 3rd tallest statues in the world.
It stands a total of 120 meters (394 feet) tall, including the 10m high base and 10m high lotus platform and was completed in 1993.
An elevator takes visitors up to 85m off the ground, where an observation floor is located. It is also known as Ushiku ARCADIA.
