This shameless godman dismissed the girl's allegations and avoided arrest. He remained inside his other ashram in Indore. Eventually, the Jodhpur police arrested him on September 1, 2013 from his ashram. He even said accusations were a conspiracy orchestrated by Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi of the ruling Congress Party.He is currently in Jodhpur jail and his bail pleas have so far been rejected.Several of his associates who entrapped the girl have also been jailed. 2. Tarun Tejpal The latest in the list is Tarun J Tejpal who is an Indian journalist, publisher, novelist, philanthropist and former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine. He stepped down as editor for six months after a woman colleague accused him of sexual assault in November 2013.He has been accused of sexually assaulting a young journalist twice in a hotelduring the Think Fest in Goa.This news received intense public attention and media scrutiny especially because Tejpal is Known for his sting operations and he had exposed bribes taken by army officers and politicians during NDA rule in 2001.He and his magazine had previously been involved in highlighting the issue of sexual violence in India,including in a special issue on the topic in February of the year. The man who was once known for exposing the harsh reality of society, painted a black mark on his own image through his wrongdoings.Goa police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) which lists charges, including rape, against him.A non-bailable warrant has been issued against him by the Goa Police.3. Narayan SaiNarayan Sai is an Indian spiritual leader, singer, lyricist and poet and the son of Asaram Bapu. Like his father, Narayan Sai was charged of sexual assault by two married sisters from Surat this year. The two sisters told Surat Police they were repeatedly raped by Narayan Sai in his ashrams, after which they fled. Initially Narayan Sai denied charges but soon went underground to evade police. A local court of Surat declared Sai an absconder on Novemebr 11, 2013. It was reported that he had shaved his head to conceal his identity. He had been declared absconding for the past 58 days.Eventually in 4 dec, 2013 apprehended and arrested in a combined operation of Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana police along the Delhi-Haryana border, and brought to Surat for custody. According to the police on 10 decemeber 2013, Narayan Sai had allegedly admitted to raping a woman in his father's ashram in Surat and also confessed to having physical relations with 8 other women followers in different parts of the country.4. Asok Kumar GangulyJustice Asok Kumar Ganguly is the Chairman of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission and an Honorary Professor at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. This retired Judge of Supreme Court who delivered judgement in some high-profile cases like the 2G spectrum scam has been under the scanner due to a charged of alleged sexual harassment levelled by a young law intern in a hotel room.The victim had written in her blog that she was sexually molested by the judge in a hotel room and also three other girls were assaulted. On november 29, 2013 a three-member panel that probed the charge of sexual harassment of a young lawyer by a Supreme Court judge has given its report,identifying the judge as AK Ganguly.However, Ganguly has denied the allegations.5. Lalu Prasad Yadav RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was recently sentenced to five years in prison and fined Rs.25 lakh for his involvement in the fodder scam which broke out in 1996 in the town of Chaibasa, Jharkhand (formerly Bihar).
