New Delhi: CPI stalwart A B Bardhan on Monday said he is not averse to making TMC led by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee a partner if an alternative government is formed to stall NDA led by Narendra Modi from coming to power.
"The whole idea will be to keep Modi out if it is possible. I don't think they will be anywhere near a majority," Mr Bardhan told a private news channel on Monday.
According to Bardhan, the alliance would be preferable if an alternative government is formed to stall NDA led by Narendra Modi from coming to power.
Bardhan also said that Mamata Banerjee may be one of the factors and will be one of the constituents in the upcoming government formation.
The Communist veteran said there was a possibility of the presence of the Left in the next Lok Sabha going down.
