TMC joins Koo, party says 'elated to be on social media platform'

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) created its official handle on Koo. Posting in Bangla and English, the party expressed elation on joining the platform.

The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has set up an official account on Koo, the Indian microblogging and social networking platform available in Indian languages.

Along with the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), AITC Tripura (@AITC4Tripura) and AITC’s Student Wing, West Bengal Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (@WBTMCPofficial) also opened their accounts on the platform.

In their first Koo in both Bengali and English, the AITC said, “We are elated to be on Koo”. The party will connect and communicate with people in Bangla, Hindi, English and other languages.

Welcoming the All India Trinamool Congress, Aprameya Radhakrishna, Co-Founder & CEO, Koo, said, “Koo extends a warm welcome to the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC). We believe that this will enable the people to listen to the AITC's developments and plans. In a short time, Koo has crossed 10 million downloads and we look forward to more people joining the platform.”

Currently available in eight languages, Koo gives people the opportunity to interact with multiple users in their mother tongue. In about 16 months, Koo has seen over 1 crore downloads. Political leaders, celebrities, and creators of content are increasingly signing up on Koo to express their thoughts and updates with the public.
