Lucknow, Jul 9 : Three elephants were electrocuted to death in the jungles of Lakhimpur Kheri on Friday, wildlife officials said.
The elephants had wandered away from Dudhwa National Park and strayed into nearby fields, where an electric pole had been lying with 11,000 volt-current still on.
All three elephants, two male and a pregnant female elephant died of electrocution, wildlife officials said.
