A 7-year-old boy Rajesh was injured when a China made toy exploded in Gumasta Colony of Kamareddy town near Nizamabad of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

According to sources, the blast took place when the boy was playing with the toy at their house.

The toy exploded all of a sudden in the hands of the boy injuring him severely. Three fingers of his right hand were cut off in the incident.  Ramesh, the father of the boy immediately shifted him to a government area hospital at Kamareddy.

Ramesh, who is a tractor driver told reporters that they bought the Chinese toy recently and the boy played with it. The condition of the boy is stable. The incident has shocked parents in Kamareddy.

Kamareddy police has registered a case and investigation is on.

IN a previous incident in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh on March 17, an electronic Chinese toy car exploded seriously injuring 10-year-old Mahendra, son of Dinesh Tank. His left finger was blown up and his ear got severely burnt.  In most cases, the blast is caused by misuse of battery, in which the overcharged portion gets hot creating explosive gas.

Two children in Mahua tehsil of Gujarat's Bhavnagar district were injured on March 10 when a Chinese toy exploded as the children were trying to insert a pencil battery inside the tory. 12-year-old Bhimbhai Kamaliya and 12-year-old Jaideep Dharmesh Kucha were injured.
