Learn to forgive
We need to learn to forgive. At any given point in time, we feel the pain of being treated badly, broken trust, pain in heart. It causes us to be unhappy and can strain or ruin relationships, distract us from work and family and other important things. Get out of this trap of anger and hurt, and see the beauty of life as it happens. We need to be able to forgive, so we can move on and be happy.
Learn to say no
If you have tough time coping with people, events or situations, then start saying no. It is because without saying no, you will continue to feel overwhelmed and experience imbalance in your life. By saying no will give you all the important time to focus on what you value and what is important to you in your life.
Collect memories instead of things
Gather stories and memories, instead of things. The happiness lies in the content of moment-to-moment experiences. Nothing material is intrinsically valuable, except in whatever promise of happiness it carries. You will learn so much by talking to other people, by taking up a new hobby, by traveling, by trying out things you've never done before. You will especially learn a lot about yourself which helps you to bring your life in your desired direction.
