New Delhi: A dense fog cover nearly blinded Delhi NCR on Monday morning with visibility in some areas reduced to less than 50 metres.
All flight operations were suspended for nearly three hours in the morning and one of the runways had to be closed down at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
More than a dozen flights were delayed at IGI airport. This is the first fog of the season in Delhi.
Met officials said, the situation in likely to worsen during the week.
Dense fog caused delay in the running of most of the trains origination from Delhi, and most of the trains scheduled to arrive in the capital were delayed.
