Ranchi, Apr 1: Information technology is necessary to provide a transparent administration and strong delivery system, the newly appointed Jharkhand Chief Secretary R S Sharma said yesterday.
Taking over the charge from S K Choudhary, who retired from the post today, Sharma said team spirit sets the pace and eases speedy implementation of works.
Till now the Director General of Unique Identification Authority of India, the 1978 batch IAS officer said his aim was to implement all the policies of the present government.
Now Jharkhand is under President's rule.
Besides Choudhary, Development Commissioner V K Sarkar, Home department's Principal Secretary J B Tubid, Road Construction Department's Principal Secretary Raj Bala Verma and other senior IAS officers greeted Sharma on his assignment.
