An unattended bag was found at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport early Friday. The bag was found at Terminal 3 of the IGI airport, which triggered panic in the area. Commenting on the suspicious bag, Delhi Police official said the Airport Police Station received a call at 1 am alerting them about a suspicious bag that has been removed from the spot and teams are working to check its content.
According to the airline sources, the bag caused panic among passengers who were not allowed to exit the arrival terminal for sometime.
As per media reports, the bag is said to contain some wires along with explosives. A team of bomb disposal squad was called at the spot, which said the bag is likely to contain RDX.
An official confirmation, however, on the same was not available.
Meanwhile, the roads outside Terminal 3 have been blocked for security reasons.
