New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will on Tuesday leave for United States to participate in the United Nations General Assembly session.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Swaraj will attend a series of multilateral meeting including foreign ministers of G-4, SAARC, India-Brazil-South Africa, G-77and BRICS countries.
She will join the delegation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will reach New York on 26th of this month.
Swaraj will accompany Modi to Washington for his summit meeting with US President Barack Obama on September 30.
The External Affairs Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts with whom she has not met before like UK Foreign Minister Philip Hammond.
She will stay back to attend a UN event to mark Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary as International Day of Non-Violence on October 2.
