Amid all the action, an artist named Arun Kumar from from Patiala (Punjab) is wooing the visitors with his incredible paintings made from thread & needle with a normal sewing machine.
“I have given an open challenge here nobody can make such paintings like I did. I am eyeing to win the “Kalanidhi award” this year, said Kumar who got his name in India Book of Records for his alluring thread-made Krishna painting.
It took him 3 years to complete the thread painting which is made from 33,000 thread reels and costs more than 1.5 lakhs.
Apart from drowning in the pool of rich heritage, people coming to Surajkund also devour the different foods items served at the stalls.
Rajasthani and south-Indian stalls attracted people in abundance, while Gohana's desi ghee ‘Jaleba' was the ultimate desert corner.
“We have come here for the first time and the experience is quite amazing. We can see the real and incredible India here,” said an elderly couple while relishing the scrumptious food.
For children there were fun-filled rides, games, magic stalls which keep them engaged while their parents were experiencing the ‘surajkund mela' festivity.
